Default My Scrambler 500 vs. Yamaha Raptor 350

OK... I just bought a Scrambler 500 last week. My best friend is picking up a Raptor 350 on 11/15. We're going to be riding on trails and a few straights (not much mud yet).

WE ARE BOTH TALKING SOME SERIOUS TRASH!

So what's the deal? Should I be worried. I'm sure the raptor is easier to manuver in a trail but shouldn't I be able to keep up with him? I know what's going to happen when we get in the slick stuff (gonna eat his lunch)!!!!!

I think raptor 350's are gutless compared to a 400ex...u should burn him...raptors are very tipsy too so u should have better handling

I'd put my Scrambler up against my Raptor 660 in a woodsy trail environment, so you shouldn't have a bit of problem taking the 350. Also my Raptor handles just as good as the Scrambler and is not as tippy as you all let on.

you should be fine, my neighbor has a raptor with a fmf pipe and silencer, we haven't raced yet but I'm pretty confident in the scrambler. Well remember keep us informed of what happens.

the raptor 350 is a dog. if it were a 400 ex or similar youd have a fairer match

A buddy and I have similar differences. I have a SP500 and he has a Bruin 350. The power difference is between the 500 and 350 is huge. Granted these are different machines than what your talking about but he'll hate the 350 when his buddy has a 500 4x4. He'll be watchin you play in stuff he can't get into and you'll be forced to ride in better conditions.

Dang i was looking at a rap. 350 for my wife. I kind of figured it be better to just buy a 400 suzuki. But she like the rapters looks. Is there a signifant differnce in power from 400 to 350 cause if there is i think she will bet bored with the power. Anyway good luck on your race Dino1000 but let us know how it went.

Talk your buddy into the wolvy 450. He'd be a lot happier.

I think there would be big difference between the raptor 350 and the Suzuki, Kaw, AC 400. I certainly don't want to start a battle on which quad is better...that's not my intention. I do think the Suzuki 400 is a pretty hot motor and gets great reviews. I don't know anything about the honda400ex accept that it's been around forever and is pretty bullet proof.
