Anyone kickin it in WI?

So i live in WI and all the trails are now closed to atv's till spring, In Wisconsin the snowmobile is considered to be a close relative to God's personal chariot. So they dont care much about us atv riders. There are no more trails to ride unless i drive 150 miles north. So i'm thinking i wait a month or two till the rivers freeze over. Anyone else do this?? Anyone wanna hook me up with some info/tips on how this all works?

Thanks for the info, I just called my buddy in Sheboygan and asked him about 4 wheelers on the trails during winter, he wasn't sure, so I'm glad for the heads up. I'm not sure I'll even drag my wheeler up in January, it was just a thought. Have a great week...Mike

I live in wisconsin I will hook up with ya. Just give me a call. Some of the trails are open all year you just have to go far north to ride. Iron county is open all year. Plus the bunkhouse is open i think...

The Cheese county trail is open all winter as long as there is less than 4 inches of snow cover. This is in southwest Wi. Also as a trial basis they are opening up a trail that heads from Monroe to Monticello when the temps are below 28 degrees. Go here to check it out Text. I do some of my riding here as it's only an hours drive from my house. A little farther for you, Brian

Hey,
I see you mention a new trail in Monticello that runs to Monroe....do you have map or any other info you can post. I tried your link which took me to the tri-count website but not see any info on the trail from Monticello to Monroe?
I live in Monticello and would be very interested to see what your talking about.
Thanks,

Hey folks,
Im from Delavan, and havent done any winter riding for a couple of years. I didnt know that BRF was open in the winter. I could have sworn they shut that down, and only opened it for snowmobiles. Dont they groom that trail for the sleds?
We usually hit the chain o lakes just over the border into Illinois in the winter, but this year, the temps were not anywhwere near where Im comfortable with.

The link is at the top of the page called the Badger Trail. You can also view it here Text. I heard this winter is a trail basis and if all goes well it may open permanently to atvs. Scroll about halfway down the page to where it says all terrain vehicles. There is also maps there so you can see where it comes into your town, Brian
