Default New owner who is lost.

Hello

I just bought a Yamaha 4Moto Dual Range with these numbers on the engine-59V-011205, 1500cm3 and 59V00Y-1. Could somebody tell me where I can find info on the ATV. I need info like year, engine size, model or where I can find parts for this ATV. The previous owner don't have any info.

Copy down the serial number on the frame and give the yamaha dealer a call. They can look it up for you.

The number is stamped on the bottom left frame tube, usually right around the shifter area.

You are going to have to find the VIN, should be on the frame, and call a dealership like recon99 said. That 1500cm3 probably refers to the amount of oil it takes. Was that number close to an oil fill cap? The cc size of the engine is usually stamped on the jug somewhere, a little higher up. I don't know what the other numbers are, but they are not the vin.

Hello
I got the serial no. JY459V005GC011205 of the tube frame. Can you tell what year the ATV is?

Best thing you can do is call a dealer at this point. Suzuki and Honda include year/place of manufacture in thier serials, I didn't find anything on the web after 5 minutes of searching for Yamaha though.

The actual date isn't in the vin. There's a date code, which I believe is the last 2 numbers of the vin.
