BTW, That has NOTHING to do with it being EFI... He got water in the engine; water does not compress like air. If he would have pulled his spark plugs and then cranked the engine over a few times it would have spat the water out and he could have changed his oil and gone on his way.
just dont go and try to blame the atv or the EFI for many mistakes a guy you were riding with made.

The outlander is actually real good with water in it's system. At one point one we were testing with got a batch of gas in it that had some water in it and it ran like chit but flushed itself out.
Any motor with electric start that get's sunk will fock up if it is filled with water and you crank it over.
