Predator 500 axle bearing adjustment?
#1
Just a quick question for those in the know.
I am about to re fit an axle to a 2004 pred. The service manual says to tighten the nut on the disc brake collar until it just covers the retaining clip.
By doing this there is no tension on the axle bearings & it leaves a fair bit of movement in the axle.
Should I take it up a bit further to pre load the bearings a little & if so by how much.
Appreciate any feed back.
