i have a qucik question
im in the market of buyin a 400EX
and i was wondering wat is the difference ,besides the plastics, between the old 400ex's and the new ones

From 1999 to 2004 they are pretty much the same animal (aside from the expected wear and tear that comes with age and maintenance or lack there of). I believe 2005 and up got the new plastics and a reverse gear. Aside from that, still the same.
DChip, I have a new old stock 2004 400ex in yellow with about 3 hours on it and a factory warranty until 2008 if you're interested. I see you're not too extremely far from me, email me at fxstb95@hotmail.com if you want to see some pics, maybe we could meet halfway (I'm in west new jersey).
