Default Newby hello, with 330 trailboss problems.

Hello all. I have lurked around here for several years and even used this place to help me make up my mind on what brand of quad to buy. Not having any experience on quads I never registered what could I add? So thats my story here is my problem, there is always a problem huh. I have a 2005 polaris 330 trailboss, 11-04 production date that has a problem. The starter rope is dripping wet with oil. Noticed it last week don't know how long its been like that. The bike has maybe 30-50 hours of adult riding time and has never been under water or even crossed a creek. Mostly just pasture rides for me my wife and hauling our small children around on our farm. I have changed the oil once and used all polaris parts and oil. Any thoughts? I am fairly mechanical and was going to take the side cover and stareter rope housing off and see if there was a crankshaft oil seal in there but thought I'd get some smarts before I started.
