You got that right.

The winch would be the first thing I chunked.

But on the other hand, you can buy a lightweight winch....if there is a such thing,

Lmao, yeah you read it right.

I think that you need lighter tires/ rims. That may help. Im not a big DS guy though... but I love them!

ok i see what you mean. but it aint fun when you get stuck in the mud
and have to walk a mile to get somebody with a winch. When there was
a tree 30 feet away that i could have used.
you must understand that this is a trail bike and a duner.
we go muddin one weekend and dunin the next.
i just want to get some legths on a few more or less stock machines around here.

i want to keep the price below a grand.

Im not quite sure if "lightweight" and "trail" riding goes hand and hand.

If you make some kinda "quick disconnect" for your winch, you could take it off for the dunes. That would save weight.

i like this quik disconnect idea.
and hey if i had the money it would be just a duner, but......

i've heard you guys talking about rotating mass.
is this just the chain, sprockets, tires, and rims?

like i said im not out to be the fastest.
just alittle better than my friends.

I understand that money can be an obstacle. But having the best of both worlds may just be a decision that only you can make.
