so is anyone going anywhere for xmas through new years? we are going to either Dumont or Glamis for the whole week. will probably leave the morning of the 26th and come home the morning of the 1st. last year we did Glamis. what a zoo! probably wont decide where were going tille we are sittiing in the truck with the motor running. oh and I bought a brand new quad this week! but you guys wont like it..... I bought a 2007 fuel injected raptor 700 GYTR. its quick for what it is. of course I have already blown another $1200 on hotrod parts and tires since. LOL . the wife just loves that. she says ," havent even riden it a 1/4 mile yet and and your already takin the dam thing apart and messin with it". LOL . God I love her . somebody has to right? anyway , I bought skat traks and mohawks all on wheels and a pro design intake kit with a big K&N filter with sand sock and a white bros fuel injection control box and am taking the bike to a buddies house this weekend who is also a premium pipe builder (Monster pipes) who owns his own Dyno Jet atv dyno and we will dyno it with a single tip complete stainless system and complete stainless duals system and I will of course be picking the pipe I like best. then we will completely dyno tune the fuel system . should be fun . anyway, you guys chime in and post where your going this xmas and maybe I will see you there and you can outrun me for a change!.....maybe . WE just couldn't make it this weekend to Dumont to ride with Crackerjack. JUST TO BUSY!! But we will be at dumont for newyears.. WE Will arrive Thurs. night or Fri. morning. Going home Mon. afternoon.. Should have the new Gsxr build with us for it's maden ride. WAY DIFFERENT THAN THE FIRST BUILD.. Would sure like ya to take a look Greg and give us your Honest opinion. I know , I know The first one was pretty much a cluster fu#*.!!lol We're learning.

Quick story Everyone thinks Dumont is a zoo for new years but ,, 04-05 ,, My son and his buddy wanted to shoot comp hill at the crack of midnight , Got the video all charged up, went over to the hill bout 11:30 and Guess what we saw??????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????
NOTHING!!! NOT,,, O N E,,,, S I N G L E PERSON!!?? NOT ONE LIGHT , NOT ONE FIRE , NOTHING AS FAR AS THE EYE COULD SEE.!! Strangest thing I ever saw and felt . we were the only soles there!! Cranked up the radio and the boys were the only 2 to run the hill, to welcome in 2005.

My freind owns a Rappy 700 LTE, he has a few mods full pipe, fuel injection contol box, k&n air filter, and Maxxis Razr2s
I have raced with him numerous times w/ my 03 DS Baja, the only thing not stock on my quad is the UNI air filter, and
we are neck and neck, he's even a lot lighter dude, like 160 where im 205. I raced his brother in-law who has a Rappy 700
stock, and i pull him all the way and beat him by a quad length! Dont get me wrong the rappy is a nice quad, just not to impressed
w/ the power!

 

well it sounds like your buddies are pretty lame riders. I have had numerous stock DS's and they wont touch this new raptor. the raptor 700's are beating the new yzf450's all the time which are fast as hell believe me dude . I did my research before I bought anything. they are only 396lbs wet and are 50cc's bigger than a ds and fuel injected and 6 years newer technology. will dyno mine stock this weekend and post some numbers for ya. Im just telling ya what i know, were gonna go play around this weekend, im gonna take my vid cam
and get some footage. i understand where your coming from w/ the weight diff and the fuel injection,

But the raptor DOES NOT RIDE like the DS COUCH.. lol Just love the DS ride!!

 

This is true. I put Ohlins shocks on my Raptor and it feels pretty good. It is funny, each year my focus adjusts a bit from HP to suspension. lol

Seems like it is taking longer and longer to recover from a rough sand weekend, lol.
