i have an 07 rincon. in the spring i plan on hopping it up. i would like some help in what i can do to it.

Well, you could have gotten one from me but its too late. I bought the set and tried it out for a weekend then took it off. It sold on Ebay for less than $160. It was just too loud for me.

dang, well i just bought the rinny a week ago. thanks for all your guys' help. i'm gonna have to save up some money for that pipe and optimizer. i love loud exhaust! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] and i should ask, what air filter should i get?? i know K&N is a good filter for power, but on trucks i know that they let in too many particles and too much dust.

 

I would stay stock or go with a Uni.

 

what kinda decibel level is the HMF pipe without the quiet core? could anybody give me an example of what it would be as loud as. for instance a v8 with straight pipes or what?

 

I would compare it more to a top fuel funny car. A buddy of mine was around 100 yards behind me. I have a Big Gun pipe and was running around 50 plus. His was drowning mine out. With the quiet core it isn't bad but without it is ungodly loud. I'm getting older and it was way to loud for me. You can't believe it until you hear it.

 

I just got my 07 on Friday. I had an 05 with the HMF and will not go back. After a day of riding the noise was just too much. On the 06-07 your not going to gain that much to make it worth the cost. If you look on rinconriders they have posts with dyno info that says you might gain 2hp only at some of the curve. Not worth it. If you leave it stock you could ride it for 10,000 plus miles and have no problems. When the mods start the reliability goes down. Trust me, I have friends with polaris quads that have been modded.
