I have read on other threads that a pipe, for this bike, won't make that much of a difference in performance. I have an 02 500 ho and all that I did was change to a K&N, this bikes are set fat from the factory, which lended out the mixcher. I also installed a NGK Iridium plug, sorry about the spelling. But the best performance upgrade was an EPI clutch kit that I got from www.royaldistributing.com. This really got this bike moving. It is real easy to install and comes with 2 springs for the primary and a new helix for the secondary, along with new weights. The spring increases engagement over stock, one more than the other. I can easily run with, and pass, anything but an 800. The ones you can buy from Highlifter are made by EPI. Some say that the heelclicker is the best, but you have to play with those ones to get it right. The ones made by EPI have do all the testing for you already. Hope this helps a fellow Canadian, EH!!
