3 light mod
#1
So I've done some research on the headlight mod and it looks easy, BUT are the wires in the pod? Some say yes, some say no they're under the rack. I wired extra lights on my Scrammy using the wires under the hood without a problem so I hope i'll have good luck with the SP too. And has anyone had problems with thier diodes crappin out? Thanks Todd

Well i picked up my new bike yesterday, and with 0.3 hours on the bike i was tearin' into the wiring, 3 light mod installed. works great and the voltage only drops to 12.1 volts with all the lights on.

I agree - my 2006 450 was only 4,700 and I dont want to tear into the electrical and I am an electrical guy. I know I can do it and prob do it better than Polaris would but I dont want to void any warranties. I have a 4 year warranty and I and hear they are picky about mod's to any part of the bike

you can get it on e-bay for 3.95 and you dont have to cut or tear into anything ..this is so simple you just use the Squeeze taps included ( 2 of them ) attach them onto 2 wires and you done ...no cutting ,,no tearing ,,no searching wires right in the pod a child can do this .....

The Quadovator kit looks nice, but my own was very easy, it's just a diode (6 amp or higher) wired from the yellow high beam wire to the green low beam wire making sure the arrow points from high to low. The Quadovator kit uses scotchlocks that are ok if they are dry all the time but I soldered and heat shrunk ALL my connections just to be safe. I've saw too many corroded wires that have caused problems. And as for playing with the wiring on a $10,000 bike, I just wired a remote start into a $89,000 Lincoln Navigator lol, Wiring doesn't scare me anymore lol
