I just replaced the boots on the rear of my 06 BF750. I noticed the bearing carriers are offset to lower the quad 1/2 " and are marked TOP. If you filp them over they still bolt right up & will give you additional clearance for larger tires. I flipped mine over & rode it around in the yard & did not notice anything negative. I haven't got a chance to flog it in the woods yet but I will this weekend & I will post my findings.

No, I have not heard of this, but I would be interested in how your bike responds, and what others have to say.

 

I saw this guy in the club I am in he had 28" mudbugs on all the way around. He also had the rear carrier bearings flipped on his GRIZ , he had to do some relocating of the front shocks , Im not sure of the exact measurements, but he made new shocks mounts and moved them up the a-arms, like I said I dont know how much, but I will tell you it looked very proffessional he had awesome ground clearance 14" in rear and nearly that in front.I know this is not the yami thread but if it can be done on the griz Im sure you can do it . Watch out for the stress on the CV joints though you are on a BF not a Griz. Dont forget you are doing this at your own risk , you will surely void any drivetrain warranty. First thing I notice is that it sits higher in the rear. I always have my rear rack loaded with gas & supplies so it probably sits about right, Especially with my big *** on it!! It didn't rub on the big jump either. So far , so good.

As far as voiding warranty, I would just flip them back over before taking it back to the dealer.

 

Still nothing negative to report.
