Any mud tire will handle the snow awesome, I have Vampires on my one quad and they are so great it is almost unbelievable, especially when all my friends are stuck.

We've only had 6 inches so far, but my MR's had no problems at all with that. Even going through 2-3 ft. drifts, I didn't come even close to getting stuck. I'm really impressed with them.

Rubidude,
How do you rate the MR as an "all around tire"? I get lots of snow, in the winter. In the spring mud but not like the South. Summer is dry, roads and trails hard packed.
Is bigger/taller - better? I have a '01 SP500 with a high lift kit. Some people say stay with 26, but then you see 27's and 28's. I do cross land with a lot of blown downs - fallen trees.
Appreciate your time.
Thanks

Overall, it's a great tire! It handles snow with no problem. The snow we have gotten has been the powdery stuff that doesn't pack at all. It almost looked like the MR's MADE it pack. I didn't notice any slippage at all. They just took a bite, and went. I did notice my buddy's 589's slipping a little. They ride very smooth on hardpack and trails, and do a great job in mud. So far, I have been able to go anywhere that my buddy's 589's and Vamps have gone, so I have no complaints at all. The only terrain that has given me any trouble at all, is in very wet sand. In that stuff, the less tread you have, the better. You can usually idle through it, but if you try to muscle your way through, you just dig down...and FAST! My only regret with the MR's is not going with the 27". Otherwise, I'm very happy, and satisfied with them.

Thanks guys , for the information on the Mud Runners. After reading your comments and talking to a few buddies I decided to grab some. I put a set of the 25 x 10 - 11's on my Foreman and am enjoying the snow like never before.I even broke thru the ice a few times and and got down into the mud and water.......... Gave it some gas and launched all 600 pounds of machine out like a SLING SHOT... The ride is a bit bumpy under 5 mph (on Blacktop) but after that they ride as smooth as my stock tires did. Now I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can go play in the mud again. There is no question I'll enjoy riding the swamps Etc.. more this year!!!
Thanks,
Nove

nove, add a bit more air to the runners, that should help with the low speed ride(side ***** will have less contact with the ground) i run about 5.5 to six pounds in mine.
