i just pick up a 700 and a friend of mine has a 01 660 with high comp piston carb work pipe filter and spacer and he geared down one on the frt with 22 tires on the rear he weight about 200 ibs i weight about 235 what do i need to bolt on to my 700 to win in a drag race about 400 feet there is so much stuff out there to buy and my pokets are not that deep. i was looking at a muzzy slip on and a air filter i can also get a good deal on a dyno efi control $ 100 used is any of this stuff good.if i loose my girl friend has to wash his atv. do l have a chance

 

I would say get yourself a controller airfilter and exhuast and see how much of a difference that makes...just because he has all that stuff it may not be dialed in to the best performance that it could have...if you are quick off the line and good through the gears I think it'll be a good race depending on the surface in which you are dragging and also how long it is because in top end since he gears down you till beat him in top speed but he will be quicker through the gears

 

it a black top lot his bike runs good from what i can tell is there any efi controler better then anthor i can get a dyno for a good price witch looks like a dobeck?what all the talk about a speed sensor

Make sure you bring a camera and post pics of said washing after the race. Because you're gonna be smoked. He has less weight and a bunch more ponies. You're gonna need at least a piston, cam, an EFI controller, and dual's to be even be competitive with him on pavement.

 

A 660 THAT MUCH FASTER MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE SAVED MY MONEY AND BOUGHT A USED 660 AND PUT MODS ON IT. SO 700 WITH PIPE EFI AND A AIR FILTER SET UP WILL NOT EVEN BE CLOSE? WHAT EFI CONTROL DO I NEED?

 

If speed is all you're after, then buying a used 660 and building it would've cost less. However, IMO, the 700 is a much better ATV overall. You're comparing apples and oranges here. In this case a well modified ATV versus a stock one. No comparison. If you put the same mods as his on yours, then you'll be right there. With an EFI controller, a pipe, and air intake setup, you'll be close in a dirt drag because of traction. But on pavement, he'll probably still beat you.

 

I'd say go for it..........but if it were me I'd go for a better FULL exhaust system, Pro Flow K&N w/o lid, and a fuel controller. I haven't heard much about the Dynotek controller but I'm sure it does what its suppose to do. Most people like the Powercommander III as the best controller.
