I have an 06 kod 450 I want to sell it and get a grizz700 or a Brute 750i But if I cant sell has anyone put 26 inch tires ,pipes, lift kits or any type of performance mods? Im looking to keep it trail ridable not a bogger only bike! so it cant be too loud.. or unstable...Thanx for any suggestions.. P.S. id like to see some pics!!

 

The kodiak's engine is not performance oriented, however it is quite capable of offroading. I would ride it the way it is....maybe add a pipe, filter, jet kit and larger tires that's about it......don't expect it to be a speed demon....it'll never happen

 

Check out my 26" Dirtdevils. I also added an exhaust tip from ebay. Makes it sound 10 times better.

What tip did you get...........how much did it cost?

 

Got it off ebay. The hole is about twice as big as stock. I did have to rich'in my fuel screw a hair, about a 1/4 turn did the trick. Do a search on ebay for exhaust end tip and you"ll see them. There worth the $40 or so dollars. sounds much deeper and throater.

Yeah I got one of those I got it foe $27 shipped it is stainless but the base is rusty so I would recomend the aluminum one Its more $

i have 26" dirt tamers, twin air filter and exhaust tip. before i put the tip on i drilled 3- 3/8" holes in the inner plate and put a .020 washer under the carb needle.
