Default Grizzly 350 4x4 and Raptor 350 questions

I want to know which is faster an 07 Grizzly 350 4x4 auto or an 05 Rancher 350 4x4 es? My wife loves the Grizzly but a friend of ours has a Rancher and she doesn't want to be left behind. I also would like to know an approx. top speed of the Raptor 350 with a 175 lb rider. I would love to buy a Raptor 700 but it's not in the budget. Also do you have to use the clutch to shift gears on the raptor? I know you would have to use it to start and stop, I've just allways riden auto-clutches or autos so I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated

First and best advice....skip the Raptor 350 and get a 400EX or Z400! Any body can learn a full manual clutch in an hour, so don't worry about that........

I would think the two utes would be pretty close. It probably doesn't make much difference either way.

If I had to bet I would say the Grizz 350, but it would be close and neither quad is gonna break any records at all. I would go so far as saying it really depends on the rider, not the quad as to who would win.

Also, try and scrounge up some extra $$$ and buy something bigger than a Raptor 350....a Z400 or 400EX would be heaps better and faster and more fun than the Raptor 350.

And yes, you do have to use the clutch to shift gears on those sport quads. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it fast.

Thanks for your replies. I forgot to mention that my friend with the Rancher weighs about 180 Lbs and my wife weighs about 90 Lbs so she has an advantage because of the difference in weight. I've been reading about the Z400 and Suzuki's MSRP is $5,899. Can any one tell me about what it costs out the door? I'm really interested in it now because I downloaded a video of some guys on them doing stunts and I was amazed to see that it has the power to wheelie with one guy on the seat and another on the frontend. That's not what I want one for but it's good to know that it has enough power to keep me entertained. I also read a review of the Z400, 400EX Raptor 350 and Kawasaki's 400 and I think I like the Z400 and the 400EX the best.
