Default banshee wiring question

I have a 94 banshee. what i'm wondering is in my clymer manual they list a wiring diagram 87-01 and 02-04 only difference after 01 is they added the brake light switches on the front master cylinder and rear master cylinder and added a park switch 1 extra wire out of the cdi. i'm wondering if anyone knows if i can use a newer 02 up wiring harness with the 94 cdi to add those brake switches in without having to do my own wiring (considering it wouldn't be that hard to do) because of the extra wire for the park switch coming out of the 02+ cdi. only reason i'm asking is because i can make my quad street legal to ride in my town since we were allowed before but now they banned it but i can still get it legal and stick it to the man!!! and i need to get a brake light on it with some other things. let me know if you guys got any input. Thanks

I would just add the needed switches and tap into the power. If you think about it, you are only tapping into a single wire. I think the biggest problem might be adding the switches. Does it look like you will have to buy newer master cylinders that have spots for the brake light switches?
