Default Time for a new back sprocket??

I was looking at the back sprocket the other day on my Atc, and i noticed that the teeth are all bent slightly to the left. I was planning on getting a front sprocket anyway, and if i do so, i dont want to ruin it because of this problem.Do anyone know if the slight bend is all that big a deal, also does anyone know the price range on a new rear sprocet for a 1985 200m atc. thank you.

Try www.rockymountainatv.com for the prices, they are the cheapest around.

The general rule of thumb is if your gunna replace one, replace all three (2 sprockets and chain) because each has a different wear pattern. The cost of a cracked engine case is not worth the chance (supposing your chain breaks). Replace both sprockets and the chain, you can get kits for around 130-140 bucks I beleive.

If however you do want to go the cheap route, flip the sprocket that is getting "shark toothed" around and replace the other one.

I accept no responsibility if you mess yourself, someone else, or your quad up.

Im not sure which other years will fit that quad. Your best bet is try and find a closeup picture of a sprocket you think will fit.

You could also take the sprocket into a dealership and ask to look at other ones that might fit. Then write down the part number and buy it online. We all know stealerships are pretty much worthless.

I recently turned the front sprocket on my R6 around. It only had VERY slight shark toothing. I did it just because the chain and rear sprocket have been changed but the front sprocket was kept stock.
