Quick Kasea Mini 50 Question
#1
My son rides a Kasea mini 50 that is all stock for now. We ride exclusively in the sand dunes. I am going to get some Skat Trak Exciter paddles for it, but feel it will need a little more power to use them. It seems to me the easiest mod for extra power would be to remove the exhaust restrictor I have read about at the headpipe. If I do this, will I need to adjust the jetting or needle in the carb? I just don't want it to lean out tooo much and be dangerous. Are there any other simple tweaks for power that can be done? I do not want to remove the oil injection, or anythign that involved. I also need this thing to remain as reliable as it has been. Once we are out in the dunes, I don't want to spend my weekend wrenching.
Any advice?
Thanks!

pipe and clutching will have it ripping up the dunes. Their porting is really tame stock too just having it fixed or clean up ported will help a bunch. Do you have the mighty mite with the vertical engine(spark plug on top of cyl/motor)
or the horizontal motor (spark plug in front of motor).
or the horizontal motor (spark plug in front of motor).

It is horizontal, the headpipe comes out on the bottom of the quad. I have not seen a pipe made for this quad.
I took the air filter off (sure looks restrictive) and noticed that the slide was not opening all the way when the thumb throttle was pinned. I was able to adjust all the slack out with the adjuster at the carb end of the cable. Now it idles the same as before, but full throttle will lift the slide all the way. That might help too.
