What about Brute Force 750 v Rincon
#1
How about the Kawasaki Brute Force 750 compared to the Rincon. All the pros and cons. There's three dealers in town. Honda, Kawasaki and Arctic Cat and i would like to know all i can about these ATV's before i spend the BIG BUCKS. Again, no hard core stuff, just putting around in Colorado with the wife. Thanks

I haven't had the chance to ride the 750 Brute but have the 650. The handling is not nearly as good as the Rincons. To me it felt tippy. Its not as comfortable either. The seat is way to hard. I've only ridden one so this is just an opinion. But the major difference is the power. The Brute is exactly that a BRUTE. It has power to spare. The Rincon has good power, but the Brute will eat it for a snack in a drag race.

Rincon is a single cylinder, the brute is a v-twin. The rincon has efi, the brute is carbed. The rincon doesn't have a diff lock so when in 4wd you actually have 3wd, the brute has a diff lock. The rincon doesn't have a low range, the brute does. The rincon 675cc has 38.5hp the brute 749cc has 50.1hp. The brute has a cvt style transmission, the rincon has a hydrualic tranny like a car. The brute force 650 would be a better comparison. It has everything the bf750 has except it's a 650 (633cc) and still produces 46.5 hp. As far as ride comfort the rincon will have the edge on the brute. You don't have to worry about a belt on the rincon. Otherwise, the brute will have the edge on the rincon in every other category. For me, I wouldn't consider the rincon because of the lack of a low range, diff lock, ground clearence, and suspension travel. If honda would improve these issues then there would be a rincon in my garage tomorrow. As it stands, I'd have to suggest the brute force 650/750.

The BF or the AC. I can give points on AC, as i am an owner.
-Highest ground clearance
-Speedrack
-2" reciever
- Shift on the fly 4x4
-Diff Locker
The BF has the VTwin motor, which in my opinion, is the BEST out there. I however prefer the options AC has, so i got the best of both worlds, and got the 650V2. Its an Arctic Cat, with kawis VTwin engine in it. You can still get 2006 models. But as said, i wouldnt get the Rincon over these two brands, EVER

The only advantage that a Brute has over a Rincon is power. The Rincon is more comfortable, more stable, less tippy, has better handling and will leave a Brute on a tight twisty trail. If the trail is somewhat straight however, the Brute has it hands down. The Brute requires movement to engage 4wd (I know this from experience) where the Rincon is immediate. And you can call it what you want but when I am in the mud with 4wd engaged, all 4 wheels are spinning at the same speed and I get a nice even coat of mud on me from both sides. Hmmmmm, maybe I am an idiot but I call that 4wd.
I have a friend with a 2005 Brute 650. Strong as h*ll! But I have driven right by him in the mud while he had his locker on. Tires make much more of a difference.
Rincon has 3 ranges: low, medium, and high. Also know as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Never has the slightest problem with 1st gear. I have had a belt drive machine and with those there is a need for low or else you can burn up your belt in some situations.

That is true about low range on a belt drive. Try pulling a heavy load in high and see what happens. I ride with a Can Am 800. This is about as powerful a quad that you can get. We were playing in a large mud hole that was around 50 yards long and over the tires deep. My buddy tried it in high and had his belt start slipping. I was doing water wheelies through it. If you like to stop before going up a steep hill or deep mud to put it in low then I'll meet you at the top by just down shifting. Say or think what you will about the Rincon, but low gear is to save your belt. Very few non belted quads have a low range. Do you people think that a Rincon will just bog down and stop pulling? The only time mine ever bogs is when I forget to downshift. Also 4wd is with a switch, I switch it to 4wd and it pulls all 4 wheels. I don't have to stop to change gears. It does have a limited slip frontend. I have yet to find something that I couldn't go through or up with this type of 4wd.
But highspeedlowdrag these are the things you need to know before you purchase. Take all things with a grain of salt. You will get alot of brand loyalty on this site. I own a Rincon and wouldn't trade it for anything else available now. I have ridden a Brute, but not the Artic Cat so I can't comment on that. All of the ones listed will get it done. Is one better than the other? Yes the HONDA But you really need to just go find the one that YOU like best. Sit on them, see how they feel. Maybe one looks better than the other, it all boils down to you. Find the best deal and get out there and have some fun

Rinman is right on. Also when people say the rinny does not have a low gear. Well no it has 3 gears with 1st being the lowest and being low enough to do just about anything. My rincon turns the tires just as fast in the mud as my sp600 does in low.

They all have there pluses and minuses. I would check out the dealers and get the best deal from the dealer with the best after the sell service. I also though there was a Polaris dealer in Palestine and there is others types in Athens. Also, if you are planning on riding with your wife on the same atv, I would look at the x2's out there. In the long run, it would be more comfy.
