My buddy has a set and I personally think they are a waste of money. He paid like $650 for them and gets beat all the time (and hes bummed also!!) I have also raced some PT equiped banshees at the dunes, beat every one of 'em so far...They look pretty though, but chrome dont get you home...

I have them on my Banshee. I think they are great. But then I race MX.

It all depends on where you will be riding. For woods or MX the PT Mids can not be beat. But on the top end, they start to fall fairly early.

If you are going to be screaming in the top end all the time, go with something else. If you are going to be on the trails or on the track, get them.

They pull strong on the bottom, to a killer mid range to what I call “stock top end.” For my use, this was perfect. I went from stock, shifting 3 times on the straights to shifting once with the pipes. Setting up for jumps was also a lot easier with the pipes, since the powerband was not as “high strung.”

Look at where you will be riding and then decide.

i gotta go with lasher there, i have some duncan mids on my shee, weather their a good pipe or not depends on yer riding. they beat the stockers everywhere. in a drag race, any aftermarket pipes other than a 2-1 will take the duncans. i like them better than my 2-1 that collects dust, only seems to have the edge right off the bottom.
if u ride alot of woods or MX their good pipes, otherwise look for something else.

I have the PTR Mids on my Banshee. Awesome motocross or trail riding power. Very ridable powerband, but, they do not cut it for drag racing. The T-5's are the way to go for drags, hill shooting, and sand dunes. The mids work really nice for everything, but they give it up on the top end. You can get them plain(not chromed) and save about 100 to 150 dollars.

I had PT Midrange pipes on my Banshee, but did not like the abrupt mid-range hit and the power falling off at high revs. My Banshee is modified to the hilt, with ALL the Duncan mods available. I have since switched to the PT Hi-rev pipes, and they are better in every respect. Did not loose too much down low and in the midrange, but gained at ton up top. Mid-range porting works awesome with these pipes; kind of the best of both worlds. The power is very smooth and potent, with no uncontrollable hits anywhere. Power does not seem to taper off on the top end as it did with the mids. I would never go back to the midrange pipes at this point.
