Default installed doebeck tfi and hmf pipe on KQ 700

I put the tfi and hmf pipe on my Kq and wow what a difference, only paid 350 for the package off ebay. It was real easy to tune. Anybody else do this yet? This weekend I am taking my kids to the Dunes and I can't wait to see what this along with my dune stars will do.

Try NYROC for very good King Quad performance info.

I may put the tfi on mine but keep the stock pipe.

Did you get more low end torque, mid range or top end power from the setup? I have been thinking of doing this to my 06 kq but not sure if its worht the money.

Yes it is and was worth it......................... As for power low to mid, Wheelies at ease now in high range rather than low, 2 wheel drive on all the dunes except the tree shots I used 4x4. paddle tires also helped in fact I races a few z 400 and 400 exs and was right eith them and even ahead until the whoops, then the sport bikes run away. BTW I wiegh about 300lbs Also if you do buy the combo as I did, then purchase a quiet core, you WILL want it, unless you ride a harley

If I get the loud core will I get hasseld by the ranger for noise levels? Oh yeah I do ride a harley so I like it to be loud if possible. Does the quite cut power?

I believe without the quiet core it will drowned out your Harley. I can't even describe how loud it is. You can try it but you will buy a quiet core. And yes the Rangers will hassle you if you decipel ratings where you ride. Also the loss in performance with a core? There is a little loss, but I think its worth it.

no power loss detected but the lower noise level makes it seem like it did. still sounds cool though.

Ok I just bought the same set up off of ebay should be here by this weekend. I was wondering what settings you are using? do you use diff. settings for diff. situation? Im sure it will change a little with altitude but have you found any other times you would change setting?
