I just picked up a 1980 185s. When I'm looking for parts, most people list 81-83. Was 80 an exclusive year or will the parts interchange with 81-83?

If uncertain go to bike-bandit.com and cross reference the parts you are looking for. I'm really not familiar w/the years 185's will interchange. But I think 80's may be slightly different, but don't quote me on that.

 

the ones ive seen are a big frame version with 25 inch tires and are orange. is it like this? evrything on engine should interchange for the most part. joe

 

I believe the bike is a 185, not a 185s which probably just means it has the 25 inch tires instead of the 22s. Some of the parts are interchangeable and some are not. You'll have to just do a part search specific to your bike.
