ok look i have an 02 660 with a moose pipe moose air filter and a 12 tooth front sprocket. i really wanna know how much faster a stock 700r is than my 660. i know the 700 is fuel injected so i know it has better throttle response. but the 700 is only 686cc. someone tell me the horsepower difference to please thanks.!! and would the 700 just smoke my 660 in a drag race be honest

 

at the wheels the 660 is around 35hp, while the 700 is around 45. and the 700 will beat a you in any aspect, depending on the rider skill.

 

I have to agree with the1hater. I had an 02 raptor and I now have a n 07 700.

ya too bad i saw a '02 highly modified (was actually raced) 660 go against a BONE STOCK '06 700R Raptor...man you talk about neck and neck but the 700 won by about 1 and a half lengths..

 

I've only raced a 700 twice at Florence. We traded wins. I think the 700 was stock but not positive. Mine is piped with an intake. But the guy on the 700 was much bigger than me. 300lbs+

 

I have yet to see or hear of a fast 700 Raptor in 300'. Until I do, I'm happy that prices for 660 parts are in the toilet.

 

Took a couiple years before the 660 aftermarket really got going. The 700's options are improving much faster with more people working on them. There may not be much out there yet, but I don't think it'll take nearly as long to make it "fast" as it did the 660.

I don't mind having an "old slow quad" for now.
