Hmf Ballance Series or Curtis Sparks?
#1
I have an 06 450r and I'm not sure what full exhaust to go with. HMF is a local company to me. (about 30 min away) and i can go buy the pipe direct from them and they will be able to help me jet it correctly while I'm there. And they have a 2-year warranty. But on the other hand I have heard nothing but positives about the Curtis sparks pipes. I will do mostly trail ridding with the occasional trip to the track. What are your opinions on each of these pipes and does anyone have one? If so how do you like it?
Thanks

I have a HMF Ballance slip on(Black) on my '03 Z400 and I really like it...It's got some interesting features...
The TRM(torque range modifier) really does seem to give it a little more torque in the lower gears...
However, if noise is your thing, take it out and the pipe is even louder...It's got a deep throaty sound
to it which I personally like..With the TRM in place it really is a good sounding pipe that works well for the
mostly trail riding that I do...I have a HMF race series (older style, red) on one of my Warriors and I really like it
as well...I only know one person who has ever had the Curtis Sparks...A buddy of mine had one put on his
'05 Raptor 660 when he bought it new..The canister actually separated the last time we were out riding so I don't think
I will be purchasing one any time soon...Probably just an isolated incident(my buddy takes very good care of his
bike by the way), but I'm not willing to take that chance...Hope this helps and good luck with whatever you choose...
