Whats the biggest tire i can get for my 2006 700 sportsman? I have 26" Bounty hunter with 14" Visions now, but the ride if a little rough because the rim is closer to the ground than my 12" stock wheels. I need more meat between the rim and ground. I just dont want it to rub at all, i ride pretty rough terrain.

ive seen where people have been running 28" tires. not 100% sure if they put a lift kit in or not.

 

Considering buying 27" AMS Swamp Fox Plus for my 06' 500 Sportsman. Will I need a lift kit if I go with 27x10 on a 12" rim. I want the same size all around but i'am wondering about clearance??

 

the 27" tall isnt a problem for highth, but the 10" wide will hit in the front w/out using either spacers or aftermarket rims. i would also stick w/ either the 11" or 12" wide in the back.

 

Oh ok, I was gonna go with a set of AMS 4 Spoke untility rims, would that help with clearance if I ran a 10 or 11' width?

 

I pretty sure you could go 10" wide fronts with an affset wheel like the AMS. I have aftermarket alloys runnign 9.5" fronts with no problem on my 2002. You should be able to run 28x10" fronts and 28x12" rears on the AMS without a problem. Right now I have 27x9" fronts and 27x11" rears on my 06 with no rubbing problems.

 

Im not worried about width, i need height. I have 10's and 12's on the front and back now and they dont rub. Will 28x12x14 and 28x10x14 be ok?

well i did some looking and couldnt find any 28" w/ 14" rims either.

 

Yea, I could not find them, but I did see a guy with 28"s on 15" wheels on polarisriders.com. They were titan 589s looked pretty sick.
