Default YZF shocks on 660 Raptor

Hi,I bought a pair of 2006 YFZ shocks and installed them on my 2003 660 Raptor.Does anyone have this set up and how has it worked for you?I turned the springs up some and I am not shure how the compression and rebound work. Can anyone tell me about adjusting them?Do I turn them all the way in then start turning them out how far do they adjust?Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have 2006 YFZ shocks on my 2001. They work great at speed, but are a little too stiff(I have the preload, rebound, and compression dialed all the way down too) for my liking at cruising speeds. The plus side though is that it lowered my ride height(I lowered the rear to match) which changed my center of gravity enough that it's almost impossible to two wheel. So it spins donuts super easy.

How did you change the back?I noticed the front being lower. How much do you weigh and how do the compression and rebound work? Can I tighten them all the way in and then work back from there? How many clicks do they have?

I have an adjustable dog bone for the rear shock linkage.

I weigh 250ish.

I have the preload adjusted so the the spring is all the way to the top of the threads.

The compression is adjusted all the way to the soft side.

And the rebound is adjusted all the way to the quickest setting.

As soon as I get the motor all back together(I have my cylinder head and carb's on the way back from Kenz), I'm planning on adjusting the dog-bone so that it raises the rear up to put more weight on the front end. Hopefully that soften's it up a little more, and it should also help keep the front end down on drag runs.

I will have to send in some new pictures of mine.It is lwered quite a bit in the front.I have the springs almost all the way down.It is only about 0 degrees tonight so it is too cold to try it.You might know I have a full yoshi exaust and a pro design air box with the lid what would I be running as far as main jets? This thing is running on the ragged edge.I have a very white plug but it is very fast and runs smooth just wondering what are your thoughts am I going to blow?

Lose the airbox lid and use a 170/175 or 180/185 main jet combo depending on how close you are to sea level.
