Default banshee problems

I'm having a problem with my 03 banshee being hard to start after sitting. It requires about 200 kicks to get it to start after letting it sit for even as little as 1 day. I think the crankcase is somehow emptying out and I have to kick it over until it re-primes. My brother (the guy I bought it off) put a twist grip throttle on it, so I'm wondering if it is carb related, or maybe a faulty install on the twist grip. It did require some drilling to put in idle screws for the carbs in the install. I'm also wondering about peoples thoughts on toomie TR6 pipes. While I'm at it I'm curious about reed valves, is 4 years time for replacement (check them and see I guess). The quad has low hours on it but they're hard running hours. I'm thinking hard red-line riding is hard on the reed valves (and everything else). Anyway I'm new to this forum and I look forward to reading everyones input. Thanks

It absolutely should not take 200 KICKS to prime the crankcase and fire up the bike. And why in the hell would your brother put a twist throttle on an atv .
Also you must remove and inspect the reed cages to know if there is wear on the reeds .
