Default Quad Tire Pressure

Can anyone tell me what the proper tire pressure would be on a lt80 ? Also if anyone is looking for a super trick LT80 that is completly dialed in with A-arms, works shocks , knerf bars and tons of other extras including a Jack Moore race motor please look up the post " some other lt80 pics " bike has less then 3-4 tanks of ran thru it. Thanks!

My son has the smaller 50cc brother to your machine. The manual says tire pressure should be 2.5 pounds, but at that low pressure it's like there is no air in the tires at all. It's so low that the bead doesn't seem to seat well and the tires lose what little pressure they do have. We're now keeping his tires around 3.5-4.0 PSI. 1) He rides better, and 2) the tires don't lose air.

I mention this because, whatever you read in the manual or hear from others, you may need to do some experimenting to find what works best for you, your equipment, and your rider(s).

Really depends on what type of terrain I'm riding on the lowest I go is about 4.5lbs the highest is 6lbs.
higher pressure on trails with rocks and lower pressure on softer soil .

It bears mentioning that tire pressure has a big impact on machine handling. When we picked up our son's little LT-A50, we didn't check the tire pressure before his first slow, careful ride. The tires "seemed" OK so we didn't put a gauge on them. On a rockier part of the packed trail, he was bouncing around a lot and his tires were airborne part of the time - all at less than 10 MPH.

Some time later I was checking tire pressures and checked his just for fun. WHOA... 10+ PSI in all four tires! And the tire sidewalls themselves said their max pressure was (I think) 7 or 8 PSI! I checked the manual for what Suzuki recommended and found the 2.5 PSI value. I bled the tires down to 2.5 PSI and the next time we hit that trail, his handling was enormously better. No more uncontrolled bouncing, no more airborne tricks, and far better steering control.

We've since found 3.5-4.0 to be the optimum value for this rider and this machine. But TEN PSI was definitely too much and affected his handling to what I would describe as a somewhat dangerous degree. When playing around with tire pressure, carefully try new values and see how the machine handles, just in case.
