Default 400 scrambler blowup

I'm from ontario, after riding for half anhour i stopped for about ten minutes started it back out warmed it up, and as i went on the throttle very easily just after engagement it did a few clunks and then the engine siezed. At first i took the cylinder head off and couldn't see any problems. i took off the exhaust and found lots of shards of metal, so i thought it was just the Skirt but oh no once i got a friend to take it apart one of the crank bearings siezed than exploded. We dont know the price yet but he said the worst case senario will cost $700 for knew crankbearing a piston a connecting rod and a little more, this really sucks but its still a great quad. Are their any things i should do when i get it back for working it in?

make you check out your case to make sure the ***** of the bearing didn't poke a hole in it. You may as well have your crankshaft rebuilt if the case is good. if it is bad the best thing to do is get a used engine.

ohh i didn't see your second reply, yeah just run the first tank of gas with pre mix 40 to 1, this will help break the parts in properly. also take it easy for that tank full as everything breaks in.

Are you sure that it wasn't the counterbalancer bearing that locked up?
