JB weld is usially better for sealing purposes, such as what you need it for. It mixes thinner than most epoxies and definetly thinner than any putty you may see that makes similar claims. Plus JB weld has proven to be resistant to most chemicals and people have used it to repair cases for years. Just make sure you clean the heck out of the area you are repairing, and use a heat lamp or hair drier to warm everything up and thin it out good.

i just checked it out their was no oil in it. i must be the very lucky the crack is bigger then i thought goes form the starter nuder the front sprocket all the way to the right case. would any of these epoxys hold up to a crack that big

dude... its only a temp fix... Just spring for the new case, check e bay I am sure they cant be too much... ... I keep a small amount of jb weld on my quad so it that happens I am safe, but I had it happen a long time ago to my 200x, used JB weld to fill a hole caused by a rock worked for the rest of the weekend but wouldnt use as perm fix.
