ok.. ive got a 94 warrior right now.. things a tank.. and its got to go. I was thinkin about buying a 04 z400 from a friend of a friend thats got about ten hours on it before he blew out his knee and couldent ride anymore. for 3600.. but now i was thinking.. would it be a better idea.. to buy a 400 ex for say maybe 2800 or less used and mod it a bit with the extra money.. ive got a few months before im going to do anything.. Warrior will get me through the winter.. ive always liked the 400 exs .. never rode the suzuki yet.. I also thought about the 450s.. but for the kind of ridding i do .. mostly trails and a few make shift jumps here and there,, a 400 i think will be just fine. Really just looking for something with a bit more power and hopefully a much better suspension then the warrior.. that shouldent be hard.

 

for trail riding? i know for a fact that the 400ex is a GREAT trail machine and in my opinion maybe the best 400 trail quad but for suspension the suzuki has better suspension then the 400ex but the 400ex suspension is still better than the worriors susp. i have riden a warrior 350 they do feel really heavy and alot of work to get it to wheelie, (for me anyways) the 400ex on the other hand is one of the best wheeliers it feels lighter ten the suzuki to me but the EX i 10 pounds heavier
anyways both the quads are good and its all about finding the right one you well love both

The only problem with the EX's suspension is the front shocks, you put on some Works or Elkas and a few motor mods with a pipe, you got one superb machine. I just got done with mine and I am really happy with the way it runs. and guess what, one less system to worry about without the liquid cooling that I had trouble with on my 250R. John
