my fan just quit on my 00 sportsman 500h.o. i just replaced it with a new one, thows thigns are EXPENSIVE! i was wondering if any one else has had to replace theres, are dealership said they have never seen one go bad, (poof of smoke in my a$$) right......, also has any one else used another fan, one that isnt so expensive

I did read of a guy who took his out and brought it to a parts store and found one similar for alot less money. Do a search and see what you can find.

 

having fans go isnt that uncommen. if the fan works alot under the mud that seems to take the life out of them. their not made to spin under mud right.

 

yes we replaced one of ours with one from auto zone it was 49.95 only had to drill 4 new holes to mount it and it works fine. the original retailed for over 200 bucks........
