Hey, I just bought myself a 04 V-force not 2 months ago. So far I have had alot of fun, I am excited to ride each time im out. Under Armor, get some protection. Gentleman I bought it from wanted to make it loud, fast, and solid. He forgot to Arm the belly like it was going to war. Here in Western NC, theres nothin but rocks and mineral dirt. Glancing at the list of mods on ur other Atv's u probley have a good idea already what to do. Duals are worthless IMO, too loud, seen a nice set of Nerf bars on Ebay.com earlier today. Havent seen the setup before but would love to have em.

Two things I would do on KFX700 are:
1). Replace the steering tie rods for heavier duty ones (OEMs bend easily).
2). Replace front tires to Maxxis or something more decent than the cheap OEM ancient ITP (which bounce a lot).

I got an 04 that i bought new and i have heavily modded it and I have never had any probs with it. If you want more power, advance the timing for sure! Either do it the custom way like i did or go by the degree key. Tons of power that needs to be unleashed. The timing is retarded wayyy tooo much from the factory. Basically on a vforce, get the airfiltration system updated, rejet the carbs, and put an exhaust on it and yer good to go and kick major **** doin it. Mine will keep up and beat lightly modded 450's. I dont even have a clutch spring in mine yet. The pink spring doesnt have the much stall so its a good starter spring.

Your options are endless; what do you REALLY want to do ? Just like our friend from Kansas, I too have a few bucks in my V-twin....I don't ride wooded trails where a tree may want to take my head off and destroy my investment (all sand, in So. Calif). You may want to look at Dalton (or other) clutch components. Improve your ride with after-market shocks (little costly but worth it). After that your off and running with engine mods. Larger CC w/ higher compression pistons; cams (not Hot Cams) real performance cams (Crower or other minimum 220 degree duration). After that you can add massive fuel and air (don't forget duel exhaust). I personally run 44mm duel downdrafts from FST.

Check it out, you have a heavy bike with lots of potential. Do what's right for you, while being safe.

Too KFXandahemi (Wyoming) the timimg keys are not big out here on the west coast, but I've heard plenty on the forums, want to know more.
