Default Question about the new diesel

Is the new arctic cat diesel atv's motor built totally by arctic cat? I hope so, as this would be a good sign that they are thinking of slowly developing their own motors over the entire range of atv's. I would like to see AC develope that great 650H1 motor in a 500cc, 400cc and 700cc size.

The engine is completly arctic cat. Alot of people have been bashing the quad, because it isnt going to be fast. truth be told, its not made to be fast. Its made to pull the bumper off of your brothers buick!

Default Question about the new diesel

The diesel is built in Italy by Lombardini and is a Roush enterprises.

The H1 is Arctic Cat's own engine and has been from the start.

Default Question about the new diesel

I can't wait to see this alternative fuel quad. I would be game to consider one. If anyone expects these and other utility quads to be fast then they need to reconsider buying a sport quad. I do love my 650 v2, but anything for the environment.

Default Question about the new diesel

as previously said the lombardini engine from italy pulls like a john deere and the bike was designed by roush industries, over here in the UK they did quitte a lot of testing with it for the army http://www.roushaltfuels.com/drv/overview.htm

The diesel is a workhorse pure and simple i'm hoping to get one as long as we keep the honda 500 hydrostatic for rounding up the stock as the diesel isnt very nimble.
it does seem very well built and simple with not to much gimmicky parts on it, I suppose as it built for the armed forces they want a no frills machine.

Default Question about the new diesel

I was able to sit on and listen too the 700 diesel Thursday. It sounds goooood IF you like the diesel sound. Obviosly it is tractor like in sound, but it is nice and throaty. If I had more money than I needed, it would be nice to haul around in the back of my F250 diesel. I don't think I would want one to ride though, a little too much utility. Anybody else seen one or better yet ridin one. I know people who are use to gas won't like the slow take off of the diesel.
