Ok im looking to get a 250ex i dont know anyone with one and i was wondering what is the basic mods to do to a stock 250? like as far as exhaust or somthing nothing complicated

 

I have a 2006 honda trx 250 ex that is not stock, I changes the exhaust and put on a Yoshimura exhaust, removed the air filter box cover and install the largest jet from dyno jet made for my quad. ( note: jetting dependes on your area ) Also I changed out the rev box with a big guns rev box, and defenly replace the stock tires i wnet with maxis all around for the dirt and itp snad stars for the dunes. After doing all this work its like riding a different quad it makes a big difference on the performance.

Just came back from Dumont dunes in california and No problems climbing any of the hills. If you dont no what Dumont dues are just goto google.com and do a search.

Depends on money. The rev box cost about $100.00 witch is the easyest way to start the maxis tires cost me about $250.00 for all 4 but then I resold the ones I took off for like $75.00 , to do the exhaust you also have to do the jet kit at the same time jet kit is around $50.00 and the exhaust is about $ 300.00

ok i guess i know what i want for christmas. and im kinda limited on knowledge so whats a rev box? and i will definatley do the tires cuz i go through some tough stuff thats why im selling my 150

 

Rev box limits the rpm of the end and helps rev the engine faster here is the like to big guns you can check out the information.

Big Gun Rev Box TRX250EX (01-05) Adds up to 3 horsepower once snapped in. Comes ready to install and go. Allows RPM to rev out 750 RPM higher than stock while advancing the timing for a bit more torque on the bottom end.

The rev box also works on the 06 as well.
