i was about ready to sell this thing, but I may have found the problem. Should the compression lever be up or down. I guy that came to look at it showed it to me and it sounded like it wanted to start up when we were trying tp pull start it. I am going to work on it today and see if I can't get it up and running.

The de-compression lever should be UP when trying to start with the recoil-start. Also, make sure the choke is fully on when cold starting (and make sure it is turned off after warmed up).
