Default Leaning Toward DRR, any complaints?

I am leaning toward gettjng my 6 yo a DRR 70cc. The 90cc seems to be a better deal, but he is wanting to race and is not old enough for the 90cc division. I have been impressed with the info I have read on the DRR and have not seen any negatives. Are there any horror stories regarding this bike? Customer service, engine, parts, etc?

You wont be disappointed with the DRR. As long as you buy from a reputable dealer. I highly reccomened buying one from Billy Holt at WRH Racing. He is the best on mini 2 strokes. Good luck

Go get the DRR.....Great bikes and even better people!!

This forum doesn't seem to embrace the racing quads, so you will probably get minimal feedback....but my son (Dillan) is a DRX50 racer.

He is actually in the April edition of DirtWheels on Pg 40...The Orange DRX50...He was so excited to see himself in a magazine!!! Had to mention it...proud pappa here!!

The 70cc vs 90cc decision is really based on what racing you plan on doing....Local or National? or Both?

In my area (Florida)the 70cc class does not exist.....so a 70cc for my son to race locally would be a waste of money since he would have to compete with 90s...but Hetrick Racing does make a nice 70cc engine kit that runs with the 90s!!

Check your local track to see what their age amd class requirements are and that should help you make a good decision

Just be realistic about what you plan to do...Race the Nationals or locally.....

Maybe you will get lucky and the local tracks will have a similar program to what is run at the Nationals...

Each track has it's own idea of what is right for the mini quads....so call all of them

Good luck

PS--If you search you can find DRX90s with bigger carbs and performance intake manifolds and 44" wide for the same price as the std 90s....

We bought the 2007 water cooled 70 with dual a-arms... We actually got the first one out of the container from Les at Extreme Mini Quads in Tacoma, WA. We love it. It is the limited edition 70 without oil injection, a nice carb (with a No-Toil now) and AC nerfs. My 4 (just now 5) year old loves it. She powerslides in the dirt and loves riding the dunes with us.... Get one, you'll love it!
