Default 525 outlaw performance

hey guys im new and I would like some input on the 525 outlaw. I bought mine about 3 weeks ago, took it to Dumont Dunes and had a lot of fun on it. I want to add performance parts and I need some opinions on what you think is best. Next week I am taking my quad into Dynojet to have them jet the carb for research. They tell me that the will add a HMF pipe to test it. should I keep the pipe or get another one, I want this quad to be fast, at least faster then stock, any input would be great!

the hmf pipe is the same one as on the 500, so dont know how good that is, best thing ive heard to do is get the james dean jet kit for about 70 bucks.

Get yourself James Deans Needle and YIKES, also put his O ring on the Accelerator pump! Its fricken insane the power it picked up (with air box lid still on!) Its coming off tomorrow, and I'll see what it does!

The SOB really has TORQUE at any RPM. I love just putting around in 4th or 5th barely above Idle and being able to just flick the throttle and spin up a rooster-tail behind me! This is from Predator owners an they have alot of talk about the 525. This is the jet kit that is suggested for the KTM motor.

the james dean kit is the way to go, so you do not think I should take my quad in to Dynojet and have them develop a jet kit for it.

I wouldn't take it in. Put on the JD kit first and you will be surprised at the throttle response. I used the thick o-ring on the accelerator and this thing jumps when you hit the throttle.

I know everybody boast drags and yes the 525 is really fast stock in the drags, but with money there will always be someone faster. Where the 525 really shines for me is its speed in the trails. The suspension with the IRS just lets you go so much faster and someone will really have to sink some money into a quad to keep up with this thing on the rough trails.

Get a K&N air filter and a pipe. That should get more power out of that Out Law
