Default New to DS650 world

I just purchased a pretty much stock 2001 DS650 and rode it once so far. Love the torque but still getting use to the size and the twist throttle that came with it. Needless to say I don't know anything about this since my last quad was a YFZ450 which I had to sell because I needed some quick cash. I'm now back in business and decided to go a different direction with DS650.I'm a big guy 6'5" and 315 lbs so the DS fits my large size frame much better.
The quad came with K&N filter and I order a FMF silencer and need help with jetting. As I said I know nothing about this quad and wonder if I should rejet it having the new silencer and K&N filter. The guy I bought the quad from had not done any rejetting after installing the K&N filter. Any advise on the size jetting I should use or any other setting I need to be concern with would be appreciated.

Ed

Thanks. I noticed a bit of hesitation a couple of times on the bottom end and I'm wondering if it's because of the jetting. I'll have to see if it continues and may have to re-jet, will see.

Do a search for "Carb Mods", a lot of good info and a great way to gain performance for almost free.....
