Well it would be nice if brp made a ds800 or unveiled their 450 sometime this year, but even if the ds isn't going to be made it will still be an awesome quad and problably the only sport quad besides the kfx that is good for larger people...nick how is your rebuild coming along and have you gotten your engine fixed.

I have herd the sales have been very weak for several years now, it would not surprise me if the new 450 acts as the replacement of the DS650. I have no doubt the new 450 will be faster and have better handeling which would take even more sales away from a long in the tooth DS650. The DS was or should I say still is a great machine, but I think the new 450 will surpass it in most every way.

HEY! I just bought a 2003 DS650 Viper and im gonna drop that motor in my frame, my powdercoating is done but its taking forever to get pieces in that i need, i replaced everything - axle bearings, wheel bearings (fr and rear), steering stem bearing, a-arm bushings, ball joints, etc. So my front end and rear end parts are gettin back together, im using my 2003 Viper to use as a full scale model in replacing all my parts for my Baja, the wiring is next and thanx to Meaner i remembered to sand off the powdercoat in my grounds to the frame, then i gotta take the motor in to get a Barnett clutch installed, valves adjusted, compression checked, and make sure the motor is 100%, it ran strong for the first week i bought it, so im happy with the purchase, not much longer now, i'll def be posting pics up, the black / orange powdercoat is AWESOME!!! There already is a ds800, its called a renegade, an automatic 4x4

The ds650 probably hasnt had many changes because they were too busy working on the new quads they were releasing so the 450 should come out soon

It'll be pretty heavy though for a 450, i hope it has an aluminum frame though, they should make it no more than 373 lbs (5lbs more than ltr450)
