JUST WONDERING,MY TACH DOESN;T WORK AS I SAID IN ANOTHER THREAD, BUT MY QUESTION IS ....WHICH BLACK WIRE COMING OFF THE TACH IS GROUND. I KNOW THE RED IS POSITIVE, AND THERE ARE TWO BLACK WIRES, ONE IS ABOUT TWICE AS THICK AS THE OTHER. WHICH IS GROUND, AND I ASSUME OTHER IS TACH LEAD. THANKS

 

Hmm do any of the black wires have striping on them and if all of the other wires are the same size my guess would also be the same as yours and say the big black wire is the ground...I wish I had a tach on mine and I could tell ya for sure, but someone should chime in and tell us to be exact.

 

NO STRIPING ON EITHER BLACK WIRES. I AM SURE SOMEONE KNOWS THIS ONE. MAYBE THEY WILL SEE IT AND POST SOON. THANKS THOUGH

 

Yea I wish I could help, but I have a ? for you that no one semms to want to answer...You know the lights for the dash, well the guy that had the quad before me screwed just about everything up and I wanted to double check to see if the wires were hooked up correctly...By any chance do you know which wires go where in the dash lights from top to bottom in order...thanks

 

I just checked my wires, since I have the front apart. The thicker of the black cables is the ground. And for bomb04 My dash lights read like this. For the red light...the red wire is on top of the black wire and for the green light the yellow wire is on top of the red/purple wire. Hope this helps.

 

THANKS. THAT HELPS. I AM GOING TO TRY REGROUNDING THAT WIRE TOMMOROW. MAYBE THE TACH WILL WORK THEN. I TESTED THE RED WIRE AND IT HAS 12V GOING TO IT, SO I AM HOPING IT;S A GROUND ISSUE.
