99 Trailblazer Reverse/Neutral Switch
#1
Hey Folks,
I've searched and seen some issues similar to this, but not exactly ...
When the quad's in neutral, the electrical system thinks it's in reverse (indicated by the light and the fact it runs like crap). When you put it in reverse, the electrical system thinks it's in neutral (again indicated by the light and it runs great).
Until I noticed which light was actually on, it was driving me crazy trying to fix was I thought was a carb problem. It was bogging and missing in neutral because the reverse limiter was on. Not a big deal now that I know other than it's a pain to try and tune the bike in gear, and the reverse limiter is not working when it should (it's a wife and kid quad, so I'd like the safety features to work).
2 questions: how do you disable it, and any clues what the problem is? I've checked the electrical connectors on the reverse/neutral switch and they look OK.
Thanks, PRSPlayer

it sounds like either the linkage is out of adjustment or the switch in side is wore out. do a search on reverse overide by pass and you'll find post on how to do it or a kit you can buy to to it.
