Ive got 2 years on mine now with no problems as far as the big bore kit is concerned. Heads well thats a different story. Do your home work before you do the head and have plenty of patience! Stick with one builder and do it all at once.

i think as long as you just trail ride, no drag racing every weekend and no nos. it should last a long time.

I have had mine for just about a year now and have not had any problems. I ride a ton in the summer as well and love the added power.

Scatterbrain - What kind of head problems have you had and who did your head work. I am just going to pull my motor this weekend and send the head to HPR for some porting.

The HPR 730 has a thicker cylinder wall section than stock, improved cooling ports, more surface area for head gasket seal. Unlike the stock cylinder the HPR 730 jug is fully braced at the top which makes it MUCH more reliable for racing and big NOS shots. It has a nickasil coat by Millenium and the ring package comes with a nickasil coated outer edge which reduces friction which means less internal drag and less wear. It also means a topend break in period is about 15 min, then you are ready to rock and roll. It comes with the lightest weight 105+mm piston available for a DS.

I actually owned one for a year and put almost 200 hrs on mine. When I upgraded to the 800 motor, the 730 jug looked like brand new. That same jug is now being used as a race motor on Alcohol and 30% nitromethane .......without any problems.

Nothing like a little first hand experience, right Shmee?

I don't own one yet, but I will. I have seen both Scatters and DSNuts in action over the last year and a half. We have rode together and spent many hours riding those big bores. Scatter puts as much time in at the drag hill as he does trail riding, and that thing has been flawless.

I can get guys qualified for engine DIS-assembly for less than $10 an hour. I put mine together the first time and paid a kid to take it apart when I upgraded.
