Default Reverse override

bullseye9..the reverse override engages your four wheel drive when in reverse or on the 2 wheel it gives you more power...It is a safety feature when backing up and cuts your power to about 25 percent...I see you live in Medina..I live down the street from you in the big city of Lodi...

Default Reverse override

the biggest thing is for safety, as it will go (w/ the override pushed in) as fast backwards as forwards. and of course you need it for awd in reverse.
