I have a 2006 outlander 650 max xt. After 15 min of riding or so my speedometer quits working and it says that there is no communication to (I think it says) ecm? It is really weird because when I shut it off for a few min the sppedometer will start to work. Oh ya this thing is 3 months out of warranty. I have been playing with it a little to see if I can locate where the problem is. When the speedometer shuts off, I remove the front storage lid and wiggle the wire harness and plug (that plugs into the computer at the dealership to read error codes) and the speedometer turns back on for a second and then shuts off again. It seems like it shuts off only when the quad warms up? Well I am stumped has any body ran into this problem with an outlander? I could really use some advise if anyone knows what is happening.
