Default AWD PROBLEM AND MELTING PLASTIC RECALL

I saw this on another forum, it was being done to try and get a recall on the melting plastic problem and it was being investigated, so it might help with the front Hillard diff. problem to.
Go to this web site and fill out the form and let then know the dangers and the seriousness of these problems its easy. www.cpsc.gov/incident.html
The more that fill it out the better the chance of getting a recall on these problems.

I have heard that Polaris has changed the diff. for 07, so that shows that there was a problem, making the chances better for a recall.

Polaris has some odd ideas of what a improvement is. I hear about this front diff problem now but not on the old hub lock system they once had.

The speedo is needed to have AWD now! but the older models did not,,smashed speedo who cares continue your riding day in 4x4.

The Sportsman never had a melting plastic issue on the older models.

Last but not least the new Sportsman has a much smaller 4.13 gas tank compared to it,s once 5.25 tank yet the new SP500 weighs 728lb vs the larger gas tank model that weighed 697lb?

The new oil tank is a smooth plastic container also ,is that better than the once used aluminum alloy oil tank that had fins to help with cooling the oil?

No, I rolled a 97 Sportsman 500 and completely smashed the speedo(analog style) and the AWD worked fine.

Heck , all Polaris ATVs have the true AWD system and many models no not even come with a speedo! Hows that? (Hawkeye,Scambler,Xplorer...)

Is there a recall on the melting plastic on the 2006 sportsman 800s? If there is I would like to take mine in for recall.

I asked my dealer about the oil tank, and he said the reason they changed it is that there was to much condensation with the aluminun tank.
I have heard that to about the speedo and the AWD, you loose the speedo you loose the AWD, I have found out alot about these quads that if I had known before I would have never bought one, they are nice machines but Polaris needs to get it together a little better, I have been checking out the other brand forums and put to gather they don't add up to half the problems Polaris has.

I don't think there is a recall yet on the plastic, but fill out the form any way I can't hurt.

Hmmmmmm... it would not be more for the reason the M.S.R.P of $6999.00 for a 07SP is the same as the M.S.R.P of a 2000 SP of 7 years ago and some cost had to be cut? 2007 SP price vs 2000 SP price.
