Default Scrambler replacement tires

I got a set of tires and rims off of an '02 Sportsman with 100 miles on them for really cheap, and am wondering if they would be ok to put on a '97 Scrambler 500. I asked a dealer and he said that they wouldn't even bolt up, which is false, and then he said that the scrambler did not have a low range gear so I would burn up some belts while using them. Can anyone verify that?

i dont have a scam. but its the same as a tblazer i beleave and the rear ones wont bolt up to a sportsmans rim i beleave. as far as bigger tires on it you may need a clutch kit depending on big you go overe stock.

You don't mention if it's 4x4 or not but my Scram was and the front tires were bigger on the front compared to the rear. I think it would be a good idea to keep the stagger in the tires for 4x4. And Sten is right the bolt pattern is different on the rear.
