Default 250EX ???'s

I just bought an 04 250EX. It seems to run really good. Other than the twist throttle it has. Are there any things I should watch out for? Any quirks the bike might have? Thanks in advance.

This is a solid little machine with no quirks!

Change the engine oil. Change the oil in the rear drive (I bet most owner's NEVER do this!). Seeing it is new to you, and you don't know its history, I would suggest a valve adjustment, a fresh spark plug, and maybe adjust the clutch???? There is no oil filter, but it has a very effective centrifugal oil cleaner that needs to be serviced every 200 hours.

That and the air filter....pretty simple machine.......

What does it have on it for tires???? Like most quads, it comes with pretty lame stock tires. I switched ours out for the new ITP TracStar radials, and it makes a huge difference in handling!

I put on ITP Sand Stars, we ride mostly in sand. Thanks for the info.

they are pretty solid, but the only thing i heard of thats wrong is the stock tires, but seeing you already took care of that then just watch out for trees and it will last a VERY long time.
